You're a Reverend
and a DJ Entertainer? |
|
|

Yes, and there
are package prices that could save you money by hiring me for both ceremony officiating and
reception entertainment, but there is no obligation.

How
are you different from other Disc Jockey Entertainers? |
|
|

 |
As your DJ Entertainer, I
never make myself the center of attention. I encourage your guests to have a good time, but
it is done so in a low-key manner that won't detract from the fact that this is your party.
As mentioned below, I provide contracts that
protect your interest. Many of my competitors either do not provide contracts, or provide
one-sided contracts. Also, I have a satisfaction guarantee. While others may claim to have one,
mine is written right into my contract.
In addition to playing great music,
I can incorporate mini-events and games into the party to make it even more entertaining. It will
be a good time for everyone involved, whether they actively participate, or just watch.
I only play
"Family-Friendly" music. I look at it this way. If I'd feel funny playing
a song with my own mother present, then it's not something I want to play when
your mother is present. The exception is when the guest of honor makes
the request. |

What is your
customer satisfaction guarantee / refund policy? |
|
|
| |
 |
If for any reason you
is not satisfied, you are entitled to a partial or full refund. The amount will be
determined by you. All I ask is to be allowed to learn from the situation, by
having the refund request in writing, detailing the reasons you are not satisfied.

Do
you provide a contract?
Do you require a deposit?
What if there is a cancellation? |
|
|
| |
 |
Yes, I provide a contract. In fact, it's
a good idea to get a contract from all of your wedding vendors. A Once-In-A-Lifetime
event is not the type of thing you should trust to a handshake.
The initial payment is about 33% of
the total. The balance is not due until the day of the event, not the weeks or months
beforehand that many of my competitors demand.
In the event of a
cancellation, the balance due will be based on the amount of time provided
to resell the scheduled date to another client, and whether or not
the party is rescheduled.
In the event of a mutual cancellation due
to a Winter storm or other similar reason, all money paid is applied to a future re-booking,
or fully refunded if I am already booked on the new date.

Are
you insured? |
|
|
| |
 |
Yes. I carry a two million
dollar liability and property damage policy.
|
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
 |
Do
you ever 'Over-Book' or send out substitutes? |
|
|
| |
 |
No. I never book two events
on the same day. Nor would I want to risk my reputation by sending a
substitute.
However, once, due to a
hospitalization, I did send a substitute. In that a situation, the
client was told about it, automatically got a reduced price, and was still
entitled to a full refund if unsatisfied.

|
|
| |
 |
What
happens if you get sick? |
|
|
| |
 |
I would have to be very sick to send a
substitute after you have put so much trust in me to hire me.
As mentioned above, that situation has
happened once. I was in the hospital. From my hospital bed I made calls to my entertainer
friends and hired one of them perform at an event, scheduled for two days later. I then
called the client to explain the situation. Of course she was not happy that she was getting
a substitute. Who would be? But she was extremely happy that I was able to get the substitute,
that she didn't have to scramble to find someone, and that I was able to provide the substitute
with all of my notes about the event. The event went well. The client, although nervous at
first, was happy at the end.
That entertainer is still at the top of
my list of who to call in an emergency. Through my association with other entertainers I am
able to keep that list long and up-to-date.

Will
you meet with us? |
|
|
| |
 |
Yes. I'd like to
get to know you every bit as much as you want to get
to know me.
Meetings can include both pre-booking
inquiry meetings, and post-booking planning meetings.
I also provide internet planning
tools that enable you to do much of your planning online, if that's
your preference.

 |
Can
I see you at an event?
Do you provide a video or DVD?
What about references? |
|
|
| |
 |
Some references are posted
on my Referral Letters page. Additionally, just ask
for a listing of past clients with contact information.
Just as you wouldn't want outsiders
at your event, I cannot invite you to a private event where I am working. However, you
CAN come to one of my public or charity events. Contact me for the date and location.
I attempt to tailor every event to
your wishes. Therefore any video I provide would not demonstrate how I would perform
at your event. Additionally, such a video would be illegal without written permission
from everyone that appears in it. Yes, I realize that other entertainers routinely
provide videos without getting that permission. That doesn't make it right.

|
|
| |
 |
Do
you take requests? |
|
|
| |
 |
Yes. It's your party, not
mine.
You can use online party planning
tools, including a music library search and select system, making it easy
for you to select your requests, as well as mark any songs as "Do
Not Play."
I not only accept requests, but encourage
them at the event, from you and your guests.

|
|
| |

Can
I provide my own music? |
|
|
| |
 |
If need be, yes,
but on CD only, and provided at least one week prior to the event. |
